I don't really know why I've been thinking about it lately, but I figured I'd like to give my car a name, but not really a regular name, but a reference instead. I figured if I one day own a Nova, I'm gonna call it the Atomic Punk. It's a good song, and it matches the car perfectly, and both the car and the song were popular at about the same time, the 70's.
Nobody rules the streets at night but the Atomic Punk... Get it? What makes this title a good name for a car is that it isn't just a song that would have gone well with the car in 1978, but it also describes a kind of character that matches the overall character of the car, I mean, it's a muscle car straight out of a 1970's post apocalyptic fantasy, the Atomic Punk.
Now I need a name for the Tipo in the same line. A 1990's song, preferably of a Hard Rock or Grunge band that was popular at the time and that somehow fits. My first thought is Soundgarden's Superunknown, because it sounds cool and the Sedicivalvole has the distinction of being the car everyone in town knows (specially the police), but at the same time no one quite knows what it is. So, a Superunknown.

Atomic Punk would look cool on a Gasser and/or a drag car. seems most cars that have names that I know in person were given by someone that's not the owner of the car and it has just stuck. 3 cars in my family have been named like that. we had "the ugly duckling" 58 Chevy Biscayne, "Terminator" 55 Chevy Pickup and currently "Miss Taboo" 56 Chevy 150

Exactly, that's pretty much why mine doesn't have a name. In the end, I just wanted something that could be turned into a decal and stuck to the front quarters hahaha.... I have a stylized version of an Atomic Punk logo already, but I need one for the Tipo now.

I would, but I'm not sure pinstripers exist in Brazil... If I got the Nova while studying abroad in America, supposing I ever get to go study abroad in America, I'd totally do it though.

look for a sign painter, that's how pinstriping started was with sign painters

No, I mean, I don't think anyone with the know how in decent pinstriping or detail painting can be found in Brazil at all. Assuming these skills even made it down here at all, they probably were abandoned ages ago when signs and banners started being plotted in vinyl stickers. I could probably get someone with a decent skill at painting wooden signs, but I'm not sure they'd be able to do a proper pinstripe. :/
